- The varactor diode is used in electronics tuners in radio, television and other commercial receivers.
- The varactor diode is used in low noise parametric amplifiers, frequency generators and frequency converters or mixers.
- It is used in automatic frequency control device.
- It is used in self balancing bridge circuits.
- It is used as a voltage variable capacitor.
- It is used in adjustable band pass filters.
- It is used in variable resonant tank LC circuit. Here C part is varied using varactor diode.
