Primarily batteries are used only once and then discarded. They have the advantages of convenience and the cost of batteries is less per
with the downside of costing more over the long term. Thus non-rechargeable batteries are also known as primary batteries and have very important uses. Thus this battery is used in some peacemakers, remote control, electronic keys, and kid toys. Non-rechargeable batteries often have higher capacity and are easily available.
The primary cell is an electric cell that generates an electromotive force by an irreversible conversion of chemical to electrical energy and also not rechargeable.
Here the batteries consist of electrodes called the cathode and the anode, which are placed in electrolytes. When the electrodes are connected then the chemical reaction takes place at the cathode and anode. This chemical reaction results in the flow of electrons from anode to cathode. These electrons have electrical energy and if we connect an electrical component between the path of the electron then the electrons can lose their energy as they go through the component. The electrical energy that the electron loses their energy can be converted into a form that is useful for us like a light bulb converts the electrical energy into light energy i.e. thermal energy and the motor converts electrical energy into kinetic energy.
